Psalm 23: God’s Antidote to Anxiety

Worry has a way of consuming us, doesn't it? We find ourselves anxious about situations that haven't happened yet, may never happen, or exist only in our imagination. But what if there was an antidote to this anxiety? Psalm 23, written during one of David's darkest hours while fleeing from his own son Absalom, offers us exactly that. This timeless psalm reveals three powerful scenes: the green pastures where we find provision, the dark valley where we discover presence, and the victory celebration where we experience God's promises. The foundation of it all rests in one profound truth: 'The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.' When we truly grasp that God is our shepherd, we have everything we need.
