Who We Are

LakeView is an Evangelical Free Church (EFCA). We consider ourselves a spiritual family, and many have chosen to make LakeView their home! Together, we are following Jesus for the glory of God and the common good. We gather to worship on Sunday mornings at 9:00 and 10:45 in Stoughton. You can expect a personal atmosphere, practical teaching from the Bible, God's presence in worship and prayer, and opportunities to connect with other believers. We have ministries for kids, teens, and adults. Everyone is welcome, so, come on in and make yourself at home!

Mission

Our mission is following Jesus together for the glory of God and the common good. We take a practical approach to our faith. A Christian is someone who follows Jesus in life, and the most important step you can take is the next one with Christ. We follow Jesus together and live to glorify God, make disciples of Jesus, and see the world become a better place.

Values

We are filled with the Spirit as we worship, pray, gather, and serve others. The Holy Spirit empowers us to grow more like Jesus and to love others with Christlike love.

We live by the Word of God. The Bible is the truth that defines reality. It is God's very words that we believe and follow in life.

We belong to the Church. LakeView isn't just a spiritual service provider but a fellowship of believers following Jesus together.

We go to the World with the good news of Jesus. He has sent us to proclaim freedom, hope, forgiveness, love, and grace, and to help make the world a better place.

Ministries

1. Learning
We learn, live, and teach the Bible in classes and programs for all ages. We have Sessions for adults, LV Kids for birth through 5th grade, and LV Youth for 6th through 12th grades.
2. Belonging
We follow Jesus together in small groups called Growth Groups. And we gather for community meals regularly. Join us for the next meal!
3. Worshiping
We gather weekly on Sundays to worship God and hear a message from the Bible. Services are at 9:00 & 10:45 AM.
4. Praying
We pray for each other and the world in small groups and worship services. Submit a prayer request.
5. Giving
We give our time and talents, serving and financially supporting ministries and organizations that meet needs in our church, our communities, and around the world.
6. Sharing
We invite others to follow Jesus with us and share the love of Christ with all people.

Faith is a journey, and the most important step you can take is the next one. We take steps with Jesus through six basic practices: learning, belonging, worshiping, praying, giving, and sharing Christ with others. These rhythms define our way of life as disciples of Jesus. What is your next step?
