The King Who Purifies

Apr 10, 2022    Josh Raley

On this Palm Sunday, we're invited to reflect on how we receive Jesus as our King. The story of Christ's triumphal entry into Jerusalem challenges us to examine our hearts and expectations. Are we welcoming Jesus on His terms, or are we trying to fit Him into our own agenda? The passage from Matthew 21 reminds us that Jesus came not as a political liberator, but as the Savior who brings peace between us and God. We're called to receive Him for who He truly is - not just a moral teacher or a genie granting wishes, but the King of Kings who calls us to discipleship. This message urges us to approach Jesus with genuine faith and repentance, trusting in His goodness and grace even when life doesn't meet our expectations. As we journey through Holy Week, let's consider: are we ready to bend our knee to Jesus, not just as a historical figure, but as the living God who demands our worship and allegiance?
