The Good Fight
In this message, we're challenged to 'fight the good fight of faith' as described in 1 Timothy 6. But what does this really mean for us today? It's not about cultural wars or political battles. Instead, we're called to run from falsehood and pursue Christ-likeness with all our might. This fight involves actively fleeing from legalism, self-indulgence, and spiritual complacency while chasing after righteousness, godliness, and love. The message reminds us that our greatest impact on the world comes not through arguing or force, but through living authentically as followers of Jesus. We're encouraged to 'take hold' of our identity in Christ, making a bold confession of faith even in the face of pressure or persecution. As we reflect on this, let's ask ourselves: What false ideas or behaviors are we running from? What Christ-like qualities are we pursuing? Are we the kind of Christians we want others to become?
