We Pray
In our exploration of hearing God's voice today, we're reminded that our faith is built on a personal relationship with a loving, communicative God. The sermon challenges us to move beyond the paradox of believing in a relational God while doubting His desire to speak to us personally. Drawing from various scriptures, including John 15:15 and John 10:27, we're encouraged to expect and listen for God's voice in our daily lives. The message emphasizes that God speaks both objectively through Scripture and subjectively through the 'still small voice' in our thoughts. As we grow in discerning God's voice, we're urged to test our impressions against Scripture, seek counsel from fellow believers, and ensure that what we hear aligns with the character of God and leads us towards Christ-like living. This teaching invites us to deepen our spiritual practice and overcome barriers like fear, sin, and distraction that may hinder our ability to hear from God.
