What About the Next 75 Years

Oct 22, 2023

As we reflect on our church's 75-year journey, we're reminded of the critical importance of staying true to our mission. The Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20 calls us to make disciples, baptize, and teach obedience to Christ's commands. This mission hasn't changed, but our methods must adapt to reach an ever-changing world. We're challenged to be clear about the gospel, as defined in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 - Christ's death for our sins, His burial, and resurrection. This simple yet profound message is our foundation, and we must be vigilant against distorting it. As we look to the future, we're encouraged by Jesus' promise in Matthew 16:18 that He will build His church. Our role is to align ourselves with His priorities, seeking first His kingdom as Matthew 6:33 instructs. This journey of faith isn't just about being 'good Christians,' but about becoming fully devoted followers of Christ, continually growing in prayer, engaging with God's Word, and passing our faith to the next generation.
