#2 - Belonging: Walking With Others in Community
In this message, we're reminded that the Christian life is not meant to be lived alone or in our own strength. The focus is on John 14:16-17 and Acts 2, where Jesus promises the Holy Spirit as our helper and advocate. This isn't just a theological concept, but a transformative reality for believers. The Holy Spirit is described as our 'paraclete' - one who comes alongside us, comforts, counsels, and empowers us. Just as Jesus was physically present with his disciples, the Spirit now dwells within us, providing an even deeper presence. This indwelling isn't just for personal comfort, but to empower us for love, witness, and mission. As we reflect on this, we're challenged to consider: Are we truly living in the power of the Spirit, or merely going through religious motions? How might our lives and communities be transformed if we fully embraced the Spirit's presence and power?
