Living as Exiles
As Christians, we are called to embrace our identity as 'elect exiles' in a world that often rejects our faith. This powerful message reminds us that we are chosen by God for a specific purpose, even when we feel like strangers in our own land. The letter of 1 Peter speaks directly to this experience, encouraging us to live out our faith boldly in a non-Christian society. We're challenged to see our exile not as a burden, but as an opportunity to showcase Christ's love to those around us. Just as Jesus was rejected by His own people, we too may face soft persecution and ridicule. However, this is part of God's plan for us to be set apart for His purpose. We're called to invite unbelievers to our tables, to show them what living for Christ truly means. This isn't about fighting for cultural influence, but about transforming lives through genuine relationships and Christ-like love.
