Putting the Hospital Back in Hospitality

Dec 3, 2023    Mike Moll

In this exploration of biblical hospitality, we're challenged to see our homes as more than just personal retreats—they're potential 'wartime hospitals' for the spiritually hurting. The simplest way to change the world might just be opening our doors and hearts to others. We're reminded that true hospitality isn't about grand gestures, but about how we make people feel. By inviting others into our lives in Christ, we're not only sharing the gospel but also our very selves. This echoes Paul's words to the Thessalonians about sharing 'not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.' In a world marked by isolation and busyness, we're called to be intentional about creating spaces of care and healing, where we do the caring and Jesus does the healing. This message encourages us to push past our insecurities—about our lives, homes, families, and faith—to give the Holy Spirit 'something to grab onto' in our neighborhoods.
