The Temple - God's Kingdom On Earth

May 12, 2024    Andy Fuqua

In this powerful exploration of Acts 2:42-47, we're reminded of the profound importance of gathering together as believers. The early church's example challenges us to see our gatherings not just as social events, but as embodiments of God's kingdom on earth. Just as Solomon's temple was a place where heaven and earth overlapped, our coming together makes the kingdom of God tangible and real. We're called to be 'living stones' in God's spiritual house, experiencing His presence, manifesting His joy, and sharing His life with others. This message urges us to reconsider why we gather, emphasizing that it's not just about consuming content, but about creating a community where God's Spirit can work powerfully. As we break bread together, study His Word, and share our lives, we're participating in something far greater than ourselves – we're becoming the very temple of God, where His presence dwells and His kingdom is made manifest.
