Welcome to LakeView!
We consider ourselves a spiritual family, and many have chosen to make LakeView their spiritual home. Everyone is welcome here, so come on in, make yourself comfortable, and find yourself at home!
Join us for worship this Sunday.
We gather to worship God on Sunday mornings at 8:30 and 10:00. Here's what you can expect:
A personal atmosphere. We don't put on a show or pretend to be something we aren't. Worship is a verb we all participate in, not a performance to watch. Be yourself, wear whatever is comfortable, and grab a coffee in the lobby. During the service, we will sing, pray, and open God's Word together.
Practical preaching from the Bible. The good news of Jesus changes everything for us. We believe God’s Word is practical, and the preaching centers on helping us apply the Bible to our everyday lives.
God’s presence in worship. God is personal and present with us when we gather. We experience him in tangible ways as we worship and pray. What a wonderful thing to be together in God's presence!
Opportunities to connect. We meet monthly in Gospel Communities for a meal and prayer. This fall, we have Sessions on Wednesdays. These classes help us grow in God’s Word together. Other opportunities to connect include a mom’s group, men’s and women’s Bible studies, and more.
What about the kids?
We’re a spiritual family, and families have kids! Because we value the children as part of our church family, we include them in a family worship service every other Sunday. On alternating weeks, we have LV Kids programming for Kindergarten through 5th grade kids during the 10:00 service. Nursery for kids from 0 to 2 is provided weekly. We also have a weekly Pre-K class. We use a safe and secure check-in/check-out system. All our staff and volunteers have passed background checks.
For students in 6th-12th grade, check out LV Youth. Our youth group meets on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:00 pm. Every week we worship, learn from God's Word, and connect with friends.
How to Follow Jesus
In the New Testament, the word “disciple” and the word “Christian” were synonyms. A Christian is a disciple, and a disciple is a Christian. So, being a Christian disciple is all about following Jesus in life. That’s a lifelong journey, and the most important step you can take is the next one! What is your next step with Jesus?
