#43 - The Next Generation

Nov 17, 2024    Jesse Barriga

In our exploration of Titus 2, we're reminded of the beautiful intergenerational tapestry that makes up the body of Christ. This passage challenges us to consider our role in spiritual maturity, regardless of our age. We're called to teach and live out 'sound doctrine' - not just intellectual knowledge, but a life-transforming understanding of God's grace and mercy. The gospel, as outlined in Titus 3, reminds us that our salvation is not based on our own righteousness, but on God's loving kindness. This truth should shape how we interact with others, both within and outside the church. As we grow in Christ, we're encouraged to be 'self-controlled' - a recurring theme that invites us to align our hearts and minds with God's will. Are we satisfied with yesterday's encounter with God, or are we seeking Him anew each day? Let's challenge ourselves to go deeper into God's glory, even if it means letting go of things that hinder our spiritual growth.
